Generators we buy in Sarasota
Our Florida routing runs along I-95, I-75, I-4 and the Turnpike, which keeps trailer and crew cost predictable on Sarasota projects. Utility territory matters too — FPL, Duke Energy Florida, TECO, JEA each have their own clearance, metering and disconnect expectations, and we have worked inside them. Florida turns over standby power faster than anywhere else we buy. Every hurricane season pushes hospitals, utilities and data facilities to re-rate their generators and transfer switches, and the sets that come off are often barely run. Phosphate operations around Bartow, sugar and citrus processing below Lake Okeechobee, and the older FPL and Duke Energy Florida generating stations release substation transformers and medium-voltage switchgear alongside them. Port access at Miami, Port Everglades, Tampa and Jacksonville also means export-bound lots can be loaded close to where we buy them.
Paperwork travels with the job: a certificate of insurance naming your entity, a W-9, a signed purchase agreement listing every asset and its price, oil test and disposal manifests where transformers are in scope, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the Sarasota site. Maintenance, EHS and accounting each get the document they need.

Valuation
What it is worth
Sometimes the equipment value exceeds our removal cost and you receive a check. On older, stripped or badly access-restricted Sarasota scopes, the removal cost exceeds the value and the project nets near zero or a modest fee. You hear which one you are looking at up front rather than halfway through the teardown.

Common questions
Questions
When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Sarasota dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Sarasota equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
Are you insured to work inside our Sarasota facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Sarasota. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Sarasota?
Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Sarasota are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
