Tampa, FL: Capacitors & Power Quality Purchase and Removal
We purchase capacitor banks throughout Tampa and the surrounding Florida market — units still energized and scheduled for replacement, equipment already sitting dead after an upgrade, and lots coming out of a full plant closure. We buy the gear and we do the removal: one company, one offer, one certificate of insurance.

Equipment
Capacitors & Power Quality we buy in Tampa
Tampa sits in Florida, where FPL, Duke Energy Florida, TECO, JEA feed the load and I-95, I-75, I-4 and the Turnpike carry the freight. Both facts land in your number: a site near those corridors costs us less to service and the saving shows up in the offer rather than our margin. Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville are regular stops, and Tampa work routes with them.
If the Tampa equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.

Valuation
What it is worth
Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a Tampa lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. Obsolete breakers and discontinued panelboard interiors are the clearest example — unglamorous parts that plants cannot buy new anywhere.
Florida note
Florida turns over standby power faster than anywhere else we buy. Every hurricane season pushes hospitals, utilities and data facilities to re-rate their generators and transfer switches, and the sets that come off are often barely run. Phosphate operations around Bartow, sugar and citrus processing below Lake Okeechobee, and the older FPL and Duke Energy Florida generating stations release substation transformers and medium-voltage switchgear alongside them. Port access at Miami, Port Everglades, Tampa and Jacksonville also means export-bound lots can be loaded close to where we buy them.

Common questions
Questions
Are you insured to work inside our Tampa facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Tampa. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Tampa?
Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Tampa are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
What happens to the equipment after you buy it?
Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.
Do you buy equipment that is still energized and in service?
Yes, and most of what we buy is. We quote it now and remove it on your cutover date. Telling us at the quote stage which Tampa assets are still live lets us build the phasing and the clearance coordination into the schedule from the beginning.
