Buying out of data centers
The typical job
A hall is being refreshed or a colo is consolidating. The electrical equipment in a data center tends to be newer, better maintained and better documented than anything else we buy, which means it prices as reusable equipment rather than metal.
What matters to a facility team
Uptime on the adjacent halls, documented chain of custody, and a removal plan that survives change control. We work inside maintenance windows, badge in under your escort rules, protect the raised floor and the adjacent live gear, and hand over documentation on everything that leaves.
What we usually buy here
Switchgear line-ups, panelboards, floor-mount PDUs and RPPs, standby generators and paralleling gear, automatic transfer switches, capacitor banks left over from commissioning, and copper feeder cable.
