What we take
THHN/THWN building wire from #12 AWG up through 1,000 MCM, MC and AC cable, tray cable, VFD cable, teck and mining cable, medium-voltage 5 kV/15 kV/35 kV shielded cable, URD and secondary aluminum, welding lead, portable power cable, and three- and four-conductor assemblies. Full spools, partial spools and off-spool coils all get bought.
What sets the number
Metal, gauge, insulation type and packaging. New copper on factory reels with legible print prices highest because it goes straight back into distribution. Reclaimed and coiled cable prices above scrap but below new. We pay above scrap value on anything usable — that is the entire reason to call a buyer instead of a yard.
How we get it out
Reels get loaded with a forklift or boom truck. Loose coils get palletized or dumped into gaylords. Long runs still in tray or conduit get pulled by our crew. We handle the freight either way.
